Quit Your Job or Die

While I sit on my deck on a warm summer day, I look back at my life a couple years ago and realize how much things have changed. It did not seem that long ago when I decided that I would quit my job instead of suffering a dull corporate life. What's strange is that my story does not contain the "jerk boss" and the evil corporation. In fact it was the very opposite of this. My boss was a good friend and treated me very well and the company I worked for treated its employees with respect and dignity. Even with these advantages I still felt lost and unfulfilled. Everyday I went to work and sat through a vast amount of boring meetings thinking my skills could be put to better use. Year after year this feeling of being a mindless robot entered my mind and consumed me. I told myself over and over again that being in a stable, full-time job was a blessing and I should be more thankful. Despite my best efforts I needed to give into my temptations. I was going to quit my job and do what I loved. During this phase countless people told me I was stupid and lazy to give up my full-time job for this silly dream of mine. Somehow I was able to ignore these comments and carried on with making a plan to leave my full-time job and discover a life of passion and freedom. It wasn't easy but I pushed through and haven't looked back since. In fact I wish I could have made the change much, but dwelling on the past is never a healthy thing to do. Getting my expenses and finances in order was my first task. Cutting back on all "luxuries" and items that I did not really need was eye-opening. After completing this task I shaved off several hundred dollars per month. These were expenses I previously deemed as necessary. This was a major step forward and a great lesson in money management. Later on I realized that I never missed the Netflix account, full cable package, golf membership and the cell phone plan with all the features. Figuring out what and how I was going to make a living was the next task. Having the lifestyle freedom I wanted meant I had to make a living online. This would allow me to travel and live where the weather was mild and the cost of living would be low. Living somewhere cheap gave me an instant advantage as I needed to make much less in order to have the same lifestyle as I did living in a big city. Making a living online was not nearly as easy as it sounds. Gathering an audience and getting peoples attention is not easy. It takes some time and patience for things to get moving. Even though this is a difficult path I still believe it's the best way to earn a living as countless people have done this before me and long after me. Do you want a change in your life? I did. I put my fears aside and quit my stable full-time job and now I work for myself doing what I love. Before I did this I learned some valuable lessons which you can read all about click here http://tryvindale.com/Vk0Mk0rf. Take action and make a difference.
